Company rolls out the red carpet for Cameron visit

Ulster Carpets got a feather in its cap last week when Conservative leader David Cameron included the Portadown company in the itinerary of his one-day visit to Northern Ireland.

Mr Cameron was given a guided tour and said he was impressed by the company’s record of investment and commitment to research and development.

The Tory leader, who was in Northern Ireland as part of a UK tour in advance of the European election, was accompanied by Employment Minister and Ulster Unionist leader Sir Reg Empey.
